Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was aware that she was gifted in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first attempt she made her skills, she placed 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a Junior World Record by running 200 metres in 22.18 second. The youngest participant in the 200-meter race at the World Championships held in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record once again in 2007, by beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her competitions.
