Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love of sprinting while in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after her first attempt. Felix was signed to a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. The following year, Felix won her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making a junior world record by taking 200 metres within 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top three in all of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
